Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Canadian Insurance Registry (the “Registry”), a public directory operated by Buy Calls Inc.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using the Registry, creating an account, submitting information, claiming a profile, subscribing to updates or using a saved feature, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use those services. Public browsing does not require an account.

2. The service

The Registry brings together professional information about Canadian insurance companies, brokerages, managing general agents and advisors. It is built from regulator, corporate, official-profile and other authoritative industry sources, and may show verification status, relationships and links to those sources.

The Registry is not a regulator, insurer, brokerage, MGA, advisor or licensing authority. A listing is not an endorsement, recommendation, confirmation of coverage, or proof that a licence or registration is current. Nothing on the Registry is financial, legal or insurance advice. Verify important information with the relevant regulator or organization before relying on it.

3. Acceptable use

You may browse and use the Registry for lawful personal, professional and research purposes. You must not:

• interfere with security, probe for vulnerabilities, overload the service or bypass access controls;
• use automated extraction in a way that degrades the service, republishes the Registry as a competing database or violates source rights;
• impersonate anyone, make a false profile claim or misrepresent authority, affiliation, licensing or identity;
• submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive, malicious or privacy-invasive material; or
• use Registry information to harass, discriminate against, defraud or harm a person.

4. Registry content and accuracy

We aim to provide useful, attributable and timely records, but public sources can be incomplete, delayed or wrong, and professional status can change. A “verified,” “confirmed,” “incomplete” or similar label describes the Registry’s evidence and workflow; it is not a warranty or regulator decision.

Report an error through the profile-update tools or support@autovoice.ca. We may correct, annotate, merge, suppress or retain records to preserve provenance, registry integrity and an accurate history.

5. Accounts, claims and submissions

You must be at least 18 to create an account, submit information, claim a profile, save a plan or use a watchlist. Keep your sign-in methods secure and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.

You represent that information and evidence you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have authority to submit it, and that our review and publication of it will not violate another person’s rights. You grant Buy Calls Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, review, adapt and publish submitted material as needed to operate and maintain the Registry. This licence does not transfer ownership and ends when the material is no longer reasonably required, subject to legal, audit and historical-record retention.

Submission does not guarantee acceptance, verification, publication or control of a profile. We may request evidence, reject a claim, correct a submission, restrict editing or preserve an audit record.

6. Third-party sources and links

The Registry links to regulators, organizations and other third parties. Those services control their own content, availability and privacy practices. Links identify evidence or offer convenience; they do not imply endorsement. Any insurance product, professional engagement or other transaction is solely between you and the relevant third party.

7. Intellectual property

Buy Calls Inc. and its licensors retain rights in the Registry software, presentation and original compilation. These terms grant you a limited, revocable right to access it; they do not transfer ownership. Respect the rights and terms attached to linked sources.

8. Availability, changes and termination

We may change, suspend or discontinue features and may restrict or terminate access for misuse, security risk, legal requirements or material breach. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Sections that by their nature should survive—including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law—continue after access ends.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Registry and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Buy Calls Inc. disclaims implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, Buy Calls Inc. and its directors, officers, employees and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, lost opportunities, lost profits or decisions made from Registry or third-party information. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer and privacy protections.

10. Governing law

Canadian law applies. Subject to mandatory consumer and privacy law, Alberta law governs these terms and the courts in Calgary, Alberta have jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Registry, law or our practices change. We will post the revised version and update the date above. We will provide additional notice where required by law. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
